Western Coalfields Limited has announced
recruitment for the post of Mining Sirdar/Shot firer and Surveyor.
Applications are invited for filling up 465 vacancies. Interested

Educational Qualification:
Mining Sirdar-
(a)Mining Sirdar Certificate of
competency issued by DGMS (OR) Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying
and Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS.
(b) Valid Gas Testing Certificate issued by DGMS.
(c) Valid First Aid Certificate.
(b) Valid Gas Testing Certificate issued by DGMS.
(c) Valid First Aid Certificate.
Surveyor –
(a) Matriculation and Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS
(b) Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying and Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
(b) Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying and Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
Age Limit:
Candidate age should be between 18 – 30
years for General , 18 – 33 years for OBC, 18 – 35 years for SC/ST
candidates as on 01/12/2014.
Application Fee:
Application fee is Rs. 100/- for General
& OBC candidates,Payable only through Demand Draft from any
nationalized bank in favour of “Western Coalfields Limited, Nagpur” at
Nagpur. Name of the candidate and post applied for should be written on
the back side of the demand draft. Reserved Category (SC/ST) candidates
are exempted from this fee.
Selection Process:
Written Test and Interview. The
candidates shortlisted in the written test will be called for interview.
Written test consists of objective type with multiple choice answers
having 90 questions for two hours duration. Passing marks for the
written test shall be 40% for general candidates,30% for SC/ST. and 35%
for OBC Intimation for written test and interview shall be given to the
candidates through registered post and on company website.
